The arts of crochet and knitting are often discussed in competition with one another. Britt of KnotBadBritt and Sönna of SunDaughterKnits strive to unite them and highlight their similarities while honoring their differences. To do this, we created the the Sisters Not Twins series, a collection of projects that will include a knit and crochet version of each pattern. We have chosen two shawls for our second project that feature the brilliant color fade of Shawl In A Ball from Lion Brand Yarn.
The Pi Squared sisters celebrate the visual beauty of a simple mathematical concept. They utilize the pi method of construction and the best part is we get to work the whole shawl with only 5 increase rows! This allows us to enjoy the process of making without counting stitches - just some easy stitching and who doesn't love that.
I love to see your creations. Share on social media and tag me @SunDaughterKnits and use the hashtags #pisquared and #sisnottwins. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or feedback via sundaugherknits.com, by DM through Instagram @SunDaughterKnits, or via email at sun.daughter.knits@gmail.com. Feel free to sell items made from this pattern, with credit to the designer. This pattern is the work product and property of Sönna Schuttner, please do not distribute.
