Handknit socks are such a cozy-comfy treat to wear so I knew I would need to find a way to include a pair in the Bluster Collection. The Bluster Socks knitting pattern highlights the broken rib stitch pattern featured in the Bluster Collection. In socks, the stitch pattern lends itself to creating a snug fit with plenty of stretch. With straight forward written instructions, the Bluster Socks are a great pattern for those wishing to try their hand at sock knitting for the first time AND those who just need to cast on and relax.

The Frosted Stitch Snowflake Sock, Malabrigo Sock, Knit Picks Hawthorne
Fingering. Sample shawl is shown in The Frosted Stitch Snowflake Sock.
Yarn yardage and weight:
MC: 463 yds / 424 m or 3.5 oz / 100 g of fingering weight, category 1 yarn
CC: 90 yds / 83 m or 0.7 oz / 20 g of fingering weight, category 1 yarn
 
Gauge:
36 stitches and 48 rows over 4 in / 10 cm, in broken rib pattern worked in the round, blocked.
Needles and Notions:
🌈 US 1 (2.25mm) needles, or size needed to obtain gauge, in the preferred style for working in the round on a small circumference
🌈3 stitch markers
🌈scrap yarn, stitch holder, or spare needle for placing stitches on hold
🌈 darning needle
Size:
1 (2, 3) to fit foot circumference of 7 (8, 9) in / 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm
